Time Attack 2009 Subaru STI

Our first mission with this car was safety. Here is the custom cage built by Design Craft Fabrication. No expense was spared in this cage and ultimate safety was the goal.

Below you can see the Sparco seats and harnesses we installed. These seats and belts offer the greatest driver comfort as well as safety.

Next was the mounting of our Prodrive wing. This is the actual wing used on the WRC Factory Subaru Rally Car. We did run into a problem with the mounting as this wing was meant to be used with a Lexan window. We had to fabricate custom brackets to mount the wing to the metal as we could not drill through the back window.

Suspension and Brakes have been installed. We went with TEIN Super Race Coilovers and Performance Friction Rotors with Hawk Pads.

The front splitter is an extremely important piece on our car. STI's are notorious for under steering and we increased the problem with the massive rear wing. To counter act this Design Craft created this insane front splitter. The ply wood you see in the picture is temporary for mock up purposes and will be replaced with sheet metal. 

                                

Here is a pic of the reversed mounted manifold and engine compartment. Also notice the extensive fuel system

on the right of the pic. This engine will be continually upgraded throughout the season.
